The Shopify App Store offers over 1200 apps to extending the functionality of your online store. Whether you want to add customer reviews, email capture and marketing, create Buyable Pins, publish your products to Facebook, or get in-depth analytics, there’s an app for that (and then some!)

1. MailChimp for Shopify
MailChimp for Shopify allows you to connect your Shopify store with your MailChimp account (for free). You can automatically add customers and their purchase data to MailChimp, target email campaigns based on buyer behavior, create ad campaigns to personalize your marketing, and more.
Requirements: MailChimp account. With MailChimp, you can send 12,000 emails to 2,000 subscribers for free each month. For lists of more than 2,000 people, MailChimp offers monthly or pay-as-you-go pricing.
2. Shopify Product Reviews
Shopify Product Reviews allows you to add a customer review feature to your products. This provides a way for your customers to engage with you, as well as each other to encourage sales.
Shopify Product Reviews can help increase the sales of reviewed products, add SEO-friendly review scores to your Google search results, and its fully customizable design looks great with any theme.
3. YotPo Reviews, Photos, and Q&A
Yotpo helps Shopify store owners generate product reviews which they can then easily share to their Facebook and Twitter profiles to drive new traffic and sales. Yotpo is free and helps you leverage the power of social proof to increase trust and sell more.
Requirements: Accounts for the social media accounts you’d like to integrate YotPo with, such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google, Twitter, and more.
4. Shopify Facebook Store
With Facebook Shop you can sell products directly on your Facebook Page (creates Shop tab for your Facebook Page), and customers can checkout quickly without leaving Facebook on desktop of mobile.
5. Shopify Pinterest Buyable Pins
With Buyable Pins you can sell products directly on Pinterest, and your customers can checkout without leaving Pinterest.
Pinners can shop Buyable Pins on their iOS and Android mobile devices using the Pinterest App. Buyable Pins generate in search and can be saved for later, repinned and shared on boards same as Rich Pins, and are enabled for purchase.
Requirements: Pinterest Business Account (free).
6. Shopify Google Shopping
(This app is helpful if you will be running paid Google AdWords campaigns. The app itself is free, but of course Google AdWords is not.)
Sync your Shopify Store with Google Merchant Center, simply and easily using a direct, automatic API feed to keep your listings up to date. Once your store is syncing with Google Merchant Center and you have a Google AdWords campaign set up, your store’s products are more visible around the web.
Requirements: Requires a Google Merchant Center Account (free). Google AdWords Account (paid).
7. Social Media Stream
With Social Media Stream, you can showcase your posts from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Pinterest, and Tumblr on one page. This can help you gain social media followers and reduce the amount of time you spend on embedding pictures and posts.
Requirements: Social media accounts for any of the following: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and/or Tumblr.
8. Digital Downloads
Shopify’s Digital Downloads app is a free, easy to use app that allows you to offer digital products in your Shopify store. Customers get access to content instantly and product updates are automatically forwarded to customers.
Shippo integrates your Shopify orders and allows you to print labels with one click. Choose your parcel dimension, pickup date, service type and preferred carrier and you will get your label within seconds. Get discounted shipping rates, print labels, and send tracking info to your customers from one simple place.
Requirements: Shippo account (free). While the app and account is free, there is a cost of 5 cents per label and discounted shipping rates for USPS and DHL Express. Additional volume discounts available.
Shipment Tracking in One Place (free): Install AfterShip to track all your shipments in one place and give your customers the information they need about their delivery. AfterShip is free below 100 shipments per month—perfect for new Shopify entrepreneurs to try! If you track more, a premium plan is available for a fee. It supports FedEx, DHL, USPS, UPS, and more.
Branded Tracking Page (free): AfterShip automatically generates a tracking page for each shipment. Customize tracking page by adding your brand logo, store URL and Instagram pictures to improve SEO and generate more sales.
