Google Adds Mobile Friendliness as a Ranking Factor

Is your website mobile friendly? It should be, and FAST, because once again, Google has tweaked its algorithm in an attempt to continually increase the quality of search results it delivers.

According to Google, over 50% of all searches come from mobile devices

Therefore, Google has stated, “Effective April 21, 2015, we will be expanding our use of mobile friendliness as a ranking signal. This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results. Consequently, users will find it easier to get relevant, high quality search results that are optimized for their devices.”
